Our national orchestras have kicked off their Seasons 2012/13 last week (Sun 30 Sep through till Sun 7 Oct) and everyone is in for a treat this Autumn. Our blog this week scans what great Classical Music concerts awaits you in Edinburgh.

Royal Scottish National Orchestra performed Oundjian conducts Shostakovich on Fri 5 Oct. Listen: BBC Radio 3 live broadcast of the concert. For the RSNO, it has been a busy season opener week too as their new Music Director, Peter Oundjian, conducted three opening Season concerts in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh in between photo shoots and news interviews.
