All for One (blog), One for All (bloggers): Introductions I
What's happening to the Clicket blog you wonder? The summer festivals are just round the corner (starting with the Edinburgh Film Festival and closely followed by the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival) and boy are we excited. And so are Fifteen Clicketeers - Bloggers who have signed up to blog about their experiences at the festivals with Clicket in the month of August.
While you get your summer festivals tickets here on Clicket (fuss-free might we add!), we're swapping our Weekender blog format to introduce all the summer adventures and festivals itineraries these bloggers are planning to embark on. Perhaps you could draw inspiration for your summer festivals adventures along with them too.
Who are they? They are definitely excitable home tourists on respective missions to enjoy and experience life as an Edinburgher, another a crime novelist, yet another a quick witted & keen eyed photographer, not forgetting a vocalist & lyricist for Edinburgh-based hip-hop band; and... a passionate foodie & filmmaking enthusiast; a radio cartoonist who is the social "glue" of the team of our bloggers; a talented designer & illustrator (love her crafty designs!); an up and coming artist (shy but has so much potential); an environmentalist & poet; and last but certainly not the least, a 24-7 super mummy (we don't know how she does it all!).
The Clicketeers' motto "All for One (blog), One for All (bloggers)" was suggested by one of our ever enthusiastic guest blogger, Colin Shelbourn. Here's why we thought this musketeers-esque motto is applicable to us.
All for One (blog)
Fifteen awesome bloggers have been invited to share with us, right here on One Blog - yes that's right, The Clicket Blog - their summer festivals adventures and experiences. All the wonderful and delightful arts and cultural shows, performances and events at the Edinburgh Art Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Edinburgh International Festival and Edinburgh Mela, as seen through the eyes of these ace bloggers will be found here.
One for All (bloggers)
Over the month of August, this one blog will be blog central for...
Fifteen bloggers,
Fifteen blog styles,
Fifteen personalities and;
Fifteen lovely Edinburgh-loving human beings!
Stay in touch with our bloggers over the festival season via the Clicket blog, their respective blogs and follow our conversations on Twitter (hashtag #ClicketBlog). While you're on Pinterest or Facebook, why not hop over to our respective board and page to stay in touch too.
This week, we introduce two Clicketeers:
- Bonnie Smith of Bonbonelectron
- MC Hasta, lead vocalist and lyricist for Edinburgh-based hip-hop band, The Ordinary Allstars
-
Bonnie Smith
Bonnie has been blogging over at Bonbonelectron since she moved to Edinburgh at the start of the year. Her blog is a mixture of everything she enjoys about life: Exploring, making things, baking things and eating things and she uses a combination of photos and stories to do this.
She also enjoys reading other design, craft and lifestyle blogs which she uses to inspire her craft projects and cooking and is a huge Pinterest fan!
Although she hasn't been in Edinburgh long, she lived in Dundee and worked at its brilliant Rep Theatre for four years where she developed a love for the vibrant Scottish arts and cultural scene.
Bonnie is @BonBonElectron on Twitter.
Bonnie can't wait to enter into the fold of all of the amazing events happening over the festival season...
As well as attempting to see and take part in as much as possible, she will also be using her Flipcam to capture the spirit of summer in Edinburgh.

MC Hasta / Ordinary Allstars
MC Hasta is lead vocalist and lyricist for Edinburgh-based hip-hop band, The Ordinary Allstars, the self-proclaimed analogue antidote for the digital world of hip hop.
Describing their style as 'upbeat reggae, jazz and funk infused grooves, with vocals flowing over live drums, bass, guitar and brass', the band produce eclectic, imaginative and honest stories through music, bringing the party to wherever they go.
Hasta blogs over on The Ordinary Allstars website where he writes about gigs, band news and things that inspire him. He is also the Twitter voice for the band, providing witty accounts of what he is up to in Edinburgh and supplementing his news with wonderful Instagram pictures.
Hasta is @OrdinaryAllstars on Twitter.
The music of The Ordinary Allstars will feature in some of our video blog entries over the summer
Hasta will also be taking part in our Instagramming Edinburgh feature over the festivals.
